Our mission
Make early cancer detection a routine, affordable blood test. Tumor-educated platelets are accurate, affordable and easy to run, but they were never turned into a product. TEPScan does that.
Care Onco Biotech is headquartered at The Platina in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, where it runs its lab and corporate office. The company works with cancer centres across India and in Norway, and with diagnostic lab chains that already run RT-PCR at scale.
Eight years from discovery to regulatory filing.

11-gene platelet panel co-developed at IIIT-Delhi.

Scientific Co-Founder & Board Advisor
Inventor of TEPScan and Professor of Computer Science and Computational Biology at IIIT-Delhi, and Honorary Adjunct Associate Professor at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. His group pioneered single-cell genomics and cancer liquid biopsy research in India. Awarded the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar (Vigyan Yuva–Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar), 2025, by the President of India.
Dr. Gaurav Ahuja
VP R&D
Leading biologist and co-author of the 11-gene platelet signature paper. PhD from the University of Cologne, with postdoctoral work at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Singapore, and research at the Max Planck Institute in Germany; he set up a hybrid molecular and computational biology laboratory at IIIT-Delhi.
